Medical University - Pleven received a positive assessment of a project for opening a specialty of the regulated professions, Veterinary Medicine, by the Accreditation Council of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency. Based on the report of the Standing Commission on Agrarian Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, the higher education institution has been assessed to have a fixed capacity of 400 students in the "Master" program, a full-time form of training in the specialty of the regulated professions 6.4. Veterinary Medicine.
In 2024, the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency gave positive accreditation to MU-Pleven for the opening of a new main unit, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, based on the available equipment and established infrastructure.
Following the positive assessment received from the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency, Medical University – Pleven expects the proposal for the opening of a new veterinary faculty to be approved by the government. The final authorization for the creation of the new unit also requires the approval of the National Assembly.
