The 5th edition of the Masterclass is organized by a team of medical students from the Saarland University Medical Center, Germany, programme, within the framework of the Erasmus
About the Course
The Masterclass: Intensive Care Medicine is a structured online elective designed for medical students from the 3rd year onwards who are interested in intensive care, emergency medicine, and critical care practice.
The course combines:
- Expert lectures delivered by experienced ICU physicians
- Interactive case-based discussions
- Clinical insights into modern intensive care medicine
- International academic exchange
Upon successful completion, participants receive 2 ECTS credits.
Course Period – April–May 2026
The next cycle will begin in April 2026 and includes three clinical case blocks covering key ICU topics such as:
- Crew Resource Management
- Hemorrhagic Shock
- Mechanical Ventilation
- Cardiac Arrest & Post-Resuscitation Care
- Acute Kidney Injury
- Sepsis & Septic Shock
- Management of ARDS
- ECMO
- Nursing of the Intensive Care Patient
