For the first time in Bulgaria, intraoperative OSNA-based detection of sentinel lymph node micrometastases in patients with early-stage endometrial cancer was successfully implemented at University Hospital St. Marina Pleven and Medical University - Pleven using the latest-generation Da Vinci 5 robotic platform.
This achievement demonstrates how robotic-assisted surgery, molecular diagnostics, and precision medicine are transforming clinical care through multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
This successful intervention support the strategic area of Robotic Surgery of the Leonardo da Vinci | Center of Competence. By combining robotic surgery, pathology innovation, telemedicine, and precision medicine within a unified clinical and research infrastructure, the Center continues to accelerate the adoption of next-generation healthcare technologies in Bulgaria.
