Training facilities
The classes are conducted on the premises of the faculty which disposes with 2 lecture halls, 3 training halls, 3 laboratories equipped with specialized tools, 5 offices. For the purposes of the training in the specialty of Prevention and Control of Public Health the following bases are used: the University Multi-specialty Hospital for Intensive Treatment “Dr. Georgi Stranski’-Pleven, Regional Health Inspection, Executive Agency of Environment – Pleven, children’s institutions on the territory of Pleven.
History
From a historical point of view the Division inherited the traditions and structure of the Department of Hygiene created in 1976 and Clinic of Occupational diseases established in 1981. Since 1977 till 2006 its head is prof. d-r Bojidar Fotev Stefanov, MD, DrSc.
