The establishment of the Faculty is fully aligned with the National Map of Higher Education in the Republic of Bulgaria. Its objectives and rationale are in harmony with national and regional strategic priorities in the field of higher education.
The main reason for establishing the Faculty is the identified shortage of highly qualified professionals holding a Master’s degree in “Veterinary Medicine” in the regions of Northwestern and North Central Bulgaria.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Medical University – Pleven will provide education and research activities in support of veterinary practice and science for the regions of:
Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, and Ruse.
