General Information

Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine continues the work of the established in 1977 Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Parasitology. Founder of the Department was Professor Zhivka Kaneva.

Today, the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine is structurally separated into two sectors: Sector  of Infectious Diseases and the former Sector  of Epidemiology and Parasitology, which was renamed into Sector of Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine in 1998.  

        


The Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine include nine  full-time academic lecturers: two Professors, two Associated Professors, one Chief Assistant Professors  and four Assistant  Professors.
