General Information

Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine continues the work of the established in 1977 Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Parasitology. Founder of the Department was Professor Zhivka Kaneva.

Today, the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine is structurally separated into two divisions: Division of Infectious Diseases and the former Division of Epidemiology and Parasitology, which was renamed into Division of Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine in 1998.  

        
The Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine include eleven full-time academic lecturers: one Professor, four Associated Professors and six Assistant Professors.
